Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of www.centralhardware.lk and any order placed with Central Hardware, 34 Madampe Road, Kuliyapitiya, Sri Lanka ("Central Hardware", "we", "us"), whether placed online, by phone, or via WhatsApp. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Products & Pricing

• We aim to keep product descriptions, images, and prices accurate, but errors can occur — for example a mismatch between a listed price and the current in-store price. If we find a pricing error on your order, we will contact you before proceeding, and you may confirm at the correct price or cancel that item.
• Prices are listed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and may change without notice.
• Product availability is subject to stock. If an ordered item is out of stock, we will contact you with an alternative, an expected restock date, or a refund for that item.
• Product photos are for reference; actual colour, texture, or packaging (e.g. paint tins, cut lengths) may vary slightly.

2. Orders & Payment

• Orders can be placed through the online Shop, by requesting a Quotation, or by contacting us directly by phone or WhatsApp.
• We accept payment by PayHere (online card/wallet payment), direct bank transfer, and cash on delivery.
• An order is confirmed once we have verified payment (for prepaid orders) or confirmed the order details with you (for cash-on-delivery orders).
• For online payments, PayHere processes your payment directly — Central Hardware does not see or store your full card details.

3. Delivery

Delivery terms, areas, and timing are set out in our Delivery Policy. Estimated delivery times are given in good faith but are not guaranteed, especially for island-wide deliveries handled by third-party couriers.

4. Returns, Exchanges & Warranty

Returns and exchanges are handled under our Return & Refund Policy. Manufacturer warranties on tools and electrical items are honoured per the manufacturer's own terms.

5. Quotations & Build My House Estimates

Quotations and estimates generated through the Quotation tool or Build My House tool are estimates based on the information you provide and current prices at the time. They are not a fixed contract price until confirmed by our staff and are subject to change based on actual site measurements, material availability, and final material selection.

6. Customer Portal & Accounts

If you create an account through the Customer Portal, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for any orders placed through your account, including urgent orders placed by an agent on your behalf with your authorisation.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Central Hardware is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from delayed delivery, stock unavailability, or misuse of purchased products. This does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded under Sri Lankan law.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or placing a new order after an update means you accept the revised terms.
